OIG August Work Plan Update

The OIG announced recently that it would begin updating the Work Plan on a monthly basis.  The August update was released and includes 4 new Work Plan items:

1. Review of the Patient Safety Organization Program
2. Duplicate Drug Claims for Hospice Beneficiaries
3. Medicare Part B Payments for Psychotherapy Services
4. Ventilation Devices

We recommend providers review the Work Plan updates monthly and conduct proactive audits of the applicable areas identified in the Work Plan.
