We are pleased to announce that Laura H. Roberts, MPH has joined HC Healthcare Consulting as the Director of Consulting Services for our Atlanta location.
Laura has over 16 years’ experience in the healthcare industry including serving as the compliance and privacy officer for multi-institutional and interdisciplinary health systems. She has negotiated and implemented Corporate Integrity Agreement requirements, conducted internal audit activities, coordinated annual Independent Review Organization audits. Laura has developed and monitored the implementation of compliance-related policies, practices and procedures, while identifying compliance opportunities and facilitating strategic solutions. In her career, Laura has implemented and coordinated revisions to the HIPAA privacy policies, conducted reviews and assessments of Business Associate processes and oversight, and developed processes to assist covered entities with determining and maintaining compliance with the Privacy Rule.
