It is January again which means it is that time of year to update your CPT and HCPCS codes. The AMA publishes hundreds of revisions, additions and deletions to CPT every year. The changes are effective January 1 of each year. Additionally, CMS publishes many changes to the HCPCS codes which are also effective January 1.
Now is the time to perform a detailed review of your charge description masters (CDM), fee schedules, system edits and superbills.
