2013 Coding Compliance

It is January again which means it is that time of year to update your CPT and HCPCS codes. The AMA publishes hundreds of revisions, additions and deletions to CPT every year. The changes are effective January 1 of each year. Additionally, CMS publishes many changes to the HCPCS codes which are also effective January 1.

Now is the time to perform a detailed review of your charge description masters (CDM), fee schedules, system edits and superbills. It is crucial for providers to ensure the coding changes and pricing have been implemented correctly in order to make sure all charges are captured and reported correctly and to ensure optimal reimbursement, avoid costly denials and reduce your compliance risk.

The staff at HC Healthcare which includes experts in revenue cycle and CDM management, certified coders and consultants Certified in Healthcare Compliance are available to assist you with the detailed reviews of your CDM, fee schedule, system edits and superbills and will provide expert implementation assistance.

If you would like information regarding pricing or would like to schedule a review for your facility, please contact Amy Bailey, Principal at 208-319-0074 or Timothy Eaton, Principal at (262) 965-5561.
